COLOUR AND MOTION
The Colour and Motion style was created as an instinctive and deliberate attempt to create something different from the constaints of traditional representation. This style gave John a greater freedom to comunicate a more personal response to his subject matter.

There are approximately fifty paintings in the Colour and Motion style. The paintings take time to complete and whilst there is spontaneity, much deliberation has been made at times on content and to balance shapes and colour. Paintings range in size from about 30 x 30cm to 150 x 120cm.
